About Our DIRECTORS

Portia by Lori

Portia’s presence is the kind only a few people you’ll meet in your lifetime possess, the kind that makes you stop in your tracks and pay attention. Once she’s honed you in, what she has to say is usually to the point, wise, quick-witted, and always unapologetic. She started her own PR agency at 25… and if you ask, she still is 25 to you and everyone else, and will be for the foreseeable future. But unlike her age, which will forever stand still, her drive and success never will.

She’s not only a PR to our clients; she’s a friend, and that has become one of the strongest pillars of our company culture. I can promise she’ll live in the “Favourites” section of your contacts. I can’t promise she won’t communicate entirely in GIFs.

Her resilience in the face of every storm thrown her way is the reason I chose her as my partner in this game, and why you should too. Portia is the life jacket in any crisis: she has the words for every situation and is the powerhouse you want by your side when building your brand.

Lori by Portia

Lori seamlessly flies through major work hurdles like most people run up escalators, the difference being that her escalator never ends, and she doesn’t stop for breath. Combine that with her ability to not be unhinged by anything or anyone, and you basically have a bionic business partner.

A brainstorm with Lori is like your first coffee of the day: necessary and the best. Our creative ideas start at a level four, Lori catapults them to a fourteen, and then you somehow wind it back into a budget-pleasing ten. She doesn’t waste her breath—literally. If she doesn’t have anything to say, Lori won’t say anything, which is an admirable skill in a world of people-pleasers. Team and client empathy sit at her very core; she’s incapable of sleeping with one eye open, so she’ll always do the right thing, even when it doesn’t serve her. Her eyes light up when a client drops something new—whether it’s a runway collection in one of our showrooms or an electric horse-drawn carriage in the City of London… yes, we do it all.

Our first meeting was certainly not one full of sparks. She had multiple job offers on the table, so appeared unfazed and very much with options. I, meanwhile, forgot she was swinging by the office and had no idea why she was standing in front of me, so tried to play it just as cool. Thankfully, we made it work, and it turned out to be the best meeting of two minds. Even after all these years, I have no idea if she does yoga, nor do I care (and neither should you), because we’re here to build you a better business. There is so much more to life than holding a pose, like a cracking cheese board with perfectly paired wines, which she can do. Just don’t ask her to parallel park.
